Gan Jian, currently based in Beijing, centers his work around the multidimensional sensory construction of optics, soundscapes, digital media, and industrial materials. By pushing the limits of form, technical intensity, and material characteristics, he stimulates the viewer to explore the deep relationship between space, objects, and self-perception.

These works often demonstrate precise control over light and space, the intensification or transcendence of material entities, and highly abstract modern industrial and geometric forms. By reducing form to its most intense minimum, the extreme sensory construction endows space and objects with an existence beyond the physical, creating a multi-reflective field that occurs simultaneously on both external and psychological levels. The viewer is almost inevitably drawn into the work, experiencing a reciprocal gaze between themselves, the space, and the objects.
